{"id":14975152226464,"title":"Wax Carve a Talisman for 2025 - JAN 18TH 2025","handle":"wax-carve-a-talisman-for-2025","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMake a talisman as a symbol of your hopes, dreams and goals for 2025\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe'll start the morning with a couple of new year ceremonies to get ideas flowing;\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA traditional Finish New Year ceremony of pouring molten pewter into water, the resulting shapes can act as a divination and\/or a starting point for ideas. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere'll also be an animal deck to draw cards from that can act as inspiration for your talisman.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIdeas can also be drawn from print outs and objects supplied on the day or from something you bring in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou'll learn about the different types of jewellers wax and have a play around with it to get a feel for the material and the textures and finishes that can be achieved.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe afternoon will be spent working on your talisman in wax ~ once your wax model is finished Jesse will send it away to be cast in bronze\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*If you'd prefer a silver talisman then an additional fee will be added depending on the final weight of your piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll food and drink is included in this class ~ food will be gluten and dairy free as well as vegetarian. \u003cem\u003ePlease get in touch if you have any allergies not covered here.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe venue; If you like off grid living and a rustic space then Jesse's yurt is for you! The field is fairly basic, so please wear sturdy footwear as it can get a little muddy.
